International Golf Federation  / IGF

The purpose of the International Golf Federation  is to promote Friendship and Sportsmanship through Golf.  To encourage the international development of golf and to foster friendship and sportsmanship among the peoples of the world through the conduct biennially of Amateur Team Championships for the Eisenhower Trophy and the Espirito Santo Trophy.

In regards to the Olympic Games, the IGF stands is to promote golf as an Olympic sport and to act as the Federation for golf in the Olympic Games.


United States Golf Association  / USGA

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has served as the national governing body of golf for the U.S., its territories and Mexico since its formation in 1894. It's a non-profit organization run by golfers for the benefit of golfers. The Association sponsors a variety of programs that benefit everyone who plays the game, from conducting 13 national championships each year, to writing and interpreting the Rules of Golf, to funding turf grass and course maintenance practices, to supporting grassroots programs through its “For the Good of the Game” initiative.


The Royal & Ancient Golf Club  / R&A

The R&A is golf's world rules and development body and organizer of The Open Championship. It operates with the consent of more than 130 national and international, amateur and professional organizations, from over 120 countries and on behalf of an estimated 30 million golfers in Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and The Americas (outside the USA and Mexico). The United States Golf Association (USGA) is the game’s governing body in the United States and Mexico.


The Caribbean Golf Association / CGA

The Caribbean Golf Association has been formed and exists for the purpose of promoting and conserving throughout the Caribbean Region, the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf as embodied in its ancient and honorable tradition.

It’s comprised by the following countries and their respective golf associations / federations:  Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, the US Virgin Islands and the Organization of the Eastern Caribbean States.



The PGA TOUR is a tax-exempt membership organization of professional golfers. The mission of the PGA TOUR is to expand domestically and internationally to substantially increase player financial benefits while maintaining its commitment to the integrity of the game. The PGA TOUR events are also committed to generating revenue for charitable causes in their communities.
